CHADULTS!

Chadults (Mamoru, Suzi and Dylan) join a primary school classroom as their new classmates who have been stuck perpetually in primary school. With anarchic joy, they share all their wisdom to get on with school life as extremely seasoned pupils. Chadults! is Iriguchi's new project that explores what childhood is, together with young people. 

The creative team undertook R&D in autumn 2025 and spring 2026. They collaborated with Primary 6 and Primary 7 (ages 9-12) from two schools in Edinburgh who made a crucial contribution to the development as dramaturgs through creative activities and discussions. Working within schools allowed the team to engage with children who may not otherwise regularly access theatre and dance experiences outside of school.
