PAINKILLERS  is supported by The Basement & Stoke Newington International Airport

This is a exciting new performance project oh physical pain. Mamoru is currently exploring the world of pain with Greg McLaren and Nikki Tomlinson. The research and development will continue into 2012, so stay tuned.

Greg McLaren -- Atomkraft

Atomkraft is about nuclear technology. Mamoru joined Greg’s project in August 2011. Our first work-in-progress showing took place at Summerhall in Edinburgh and BAC in London.




Brian Lobel

Graphic Designer/ Performer

Mamoru is working as graphic designer with Brain on various projects including Carpe Minuta Prima, Purge and his deciBel publicity.


Mamoru is also a regular performer of Cruising for Art events that Brian curates.





30 Bird Productions -- 14 Tables

Set and Projection Designer/ Deviser/ Performer

14 Tables is a performance piece that takes place around a dinner table. For just a dozen audience members. Mamoru is working with Mehrdad Seyf and Jessamin Landamore. 

R&D is now complete. With the secured funding, it will be finalised spring/summer 2012.



Schmitt&Schulz

Schmitt&Schulz are performance artists. They are also co-artistic directors of pad (performance arts depot), a venue for contemporary performance art in Mainz, Germany. The first R&D phase has been done in November 2011. The further development is planned throughout 2012.

Nicola Conibere -- Count Two / Practice

Designe/ Technology Consultant (Set, Lighting & Projection)

Count Two has been shown at Southbank Centre, Laban Theatre and Lakeside Arts Centre (Nottingham). More performances possibly in 2012. Practice is Nicola’s new project which will be premiered at Nottingham Contemporary in March 2012.



Tom Dale Company -- Cabin Fever

Set Design Consultant

Choreographed by Tom Dale and video/music by AntiVJ. R&D is now complete. Further development will take place in 2012 for full production.
