Zoom Dark Mode(2020, 40min participatory zoom session)

The audience members are asked to turn off the lights and tune into the sound of the night from the outside world. They are asked to contribute to this work in advance, by recording and submitting 2 minutes of ambient outdoor noise from an open window of their home, at night. At 23:20, along with the other contributors, they will be ushered in to Zoom Dark Mode, where they will turn off all lights, mute microphones, light a candle, and enter the almost-darkness, using a pseudonym, to hear the orchestrated, ambient noise the artist has created from everyone's recordings. A slow and quiet way to end your day, the Zoom room will close at the stroke of midnight.
